Meet the Mommyhoped-for

When Angela Margolis, co-owner of event production company Sterling Social, was expecting a baby boy, even she admits that she never expected such a thoughtfully-planned baby shower. "Walking into my baby shower truly took my jiff away!" she says. "Not only was the setting magical, but I could tell that every detail my amazing hosts put together had sentimental meaning."

The shower was gear up in a beautiful private backyard in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Shut friends and family unit — both near and far — traveled to celebrate her baby boy on-the-way. "The soft watercolor palette in shades of blue perfectly matched the nursery I had been designing and the subtle Oh! The Places You'll Become theme was taken from a print I fell in love with on Pinterest. The fact that my all-time friends picked upward on those special touches during the planning process blew me away!"

An Invitation to Adventure

Whimsical invitations — in a soft watercolor blueish — were designed with a "boy bluish" reference to Angela's nursery in mind, courtesy of Bister Moon Design.

The Destination Awaits

The event was hosted at a private residence in Los Angeles. Upon inflow, guests ventured into a lush garden. And at it's eye: reclaimed wood tables were paired with metallic chairs from Found Rentals were gear up beneath the towering copse for anybody to dine together for lunch.

Awaiting each guest, individual place settings were arranged with matte gray ceramic plates, silver flatware, and handmade dip-dyed blue muslin napkins that were playfully tied in knots from Borrowed Blu. And reminiscent to the invitations, watercolor place cards — again, in flowing shades of blueish — marked their seat at the tabular array.

Wild and Whimsical

Flood, near wild floral arrangements added a soft touch to the forest tabletops. All were a mix of natural greenery and white florals — think garden roses, ranunculus, vibernum berry, Queen Anne'due south lace, astrantia, clover, eucalyptus, bay foliage, and Italian pittosporum foliage — courtesy of JL Designs.

Mapping the Way

This hand calligraphy print from A Fabulous Fete with the theme of the shower, "Oh the Places You'll Go" added a personal and memorable bear on that can forever be displayed in the nursery equally a keepsake from the day. And tucked away — hither and there — throughout the k, furniture was arranged for extra-comfy seating to picket Angela open up gifts.

"During lunch, I had to take a minute to intermission, expect around, and take in the fact that then many people I loved were in one place," Angela says. "I'll never forget the overwhelming sense of happiness I felt beingness able to celebrate my baby boy in such a perfect way."

Yous're Off and Away!

Collections of globes were placed around the event setting every bit subtle hints of all the adventurous places the baby male child will hopefully travel in his lifetime. Instead of a traditional invitee volume, everyone was asked to write a annotation to the baby suggesting the amazing places he should plan to visit throughout his lifetime.

Congratulations! Today is Your 24-hour interval!

"Information technology was an absolute dream, and a picayune surreal," Angela recalls, "to walk into an event and recognize all the beautiful styling details that went into bringing the day to life. After planning so many showers in the past, information technology was honestly the well-nigh touching experience to know this one was well-nigh celebrating my ain baby boy on the mode."
